With Christmas being two weeks away, we're in the thick of this holiday season; Christmas music is literally everywhere you turn. If you are looking for an alternative to the classics, The Mighty One and Viking Queen introduce 'Christmas in the North' to add to your playlist this holiday season.
The North American radio release of 'Christmas in the North' took place last year at this time. Since then, this tune has been featured on a multitude of stations all around the world. 'Christmas In the North' is not what you would expect, as it has a positive and driving hard rock sound. It is a song all about an international connection with a Norwegian power metal band, named Viking Queen, that Tim met online during lockdown, in what he calls "Covid Magic" Front man of The Mighty One, Tim Steinruck shares. "Many people complain about the fear, the uncertainty, and challenges that Covid created for them. My experience has been completely opposite to that. I feel it has been the greatest opportunity to get clear on my purpose, and to create beautiful creative relationships around the world". And they did exactly that and more.
The Mighty One and Viking Queen are truly unique. Their philosophy is that we all have an incredible fire inside us and that is our true superpower. When you witness either band and their live performances, most describe it as transformational.
The Mighty One was created by Tim Steinruck in 2008. They relaunched in 2017 with drummer Bob Wagner, and the bands new bass player, Gustavo Valderrama. Great things come to those who wait, and the album Torch of Rock and Roll is a testament to staying the course and being true to your dreams. It's a blistering album, built of thunderous, fist-in-the-air, foot-on-the-monitor, epic stadium rock. "Torch Of Rock And Roll" sees the band as taking a legacy approach to their song writing and production.
The band has a comic book in production based on their animated video, "Torch of Rock and Roll'. In 2023 Tim will be publishing his first book "Torch of Rock And Roll, The Fire Of Purpose." Tim will also continue to develop his role as host and leading character on the travelling reality TV show, "RiseUP TV". The show is really taking off. Tim just returned from a RiseUP TV Tour in Europe and a RiseUp Festival with Viking Queen in Norway. There is interest from all over the world. New tours are in the works as we speak.
