Johnny Talks Music

I’m sitting here strumming away.

The vibrations echoing out into the world.

I add some voice with words.

This is what I do.

It’s not who I am.

And, it doesn’t amount to a hill of beans.

But, I do it ‘cause I’ve been doing it a long time.

Sometimes I do it for kicks.

Sometimes I do it for a few bucks in my hat.

Sometimes I do it when I’m bored.

Sometimes I don’t do it at all.

Music doesn’t rule me.

And, it only really brought me heartache.

No matter what, I just keep doing it.

Wish I knew why.

Habit, I guess.

Suppose I’ll just keep doing it ‘til I die.

Still, I am amazed at what the sound of a guitar couple with a voice can do.
