Water Supply Cut: BWSSB Announces 24-Hour Water Disruption From June 4, Check Affected Areas

As the Lok Sabha election results are set to be announced on June 4, residents of Bengaluru will face water supply disruptions. The Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has announced that there will be a city-wide water supply cut due to the implementation of the Cauvery 5th Stage project.

On June 4 and 5, the BWSSB will shut down water supply from the Cauvery 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stages from 6 am to 6 pm. This disruption will affect the entire city as the board undertakes essential work at six different sites.

In the first phase on June 4, there will be no water supply for 12 hours due to maintenance work on the Cauvery 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stage units. In the second phase, water supply will be completely halted from 10 am to 2 pm in the 1st and 2nd phases of the Cauvery 4th stage.

The BWSSB has urged residents to store sufficient water to manage during these disruptions. The board has appealed for public cooperation as it works to enhance the city's water supply infrastructure.

Water supply in Bengaluru will be fully suspended during the work periods on both days, and residents are advised to plan accordingly. The disruptions come on a crucial day as the nation awaits the results of the Lok Sabha elections, adding to the challenges faced by the city's populace.
